52 years after The Beatles sent a demo track to Cilla Black, the disc has been found. They sent the disc to the London Palladium for her to listen to a song they wanted her to use, but after that it appeared to have been lost. Well whatever happened to it in the mean time, Cilla went on to record the track written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon and scored a top 10 hit with It’s For You in 1964. The demo disc contained a recording of Paul McCartney singing the track for her to listen to which may well not have been listened to by anyone but Cilla. A relative of Cilla’s found the recording in an envelope marked for the late star amongst her belongings recently.
