Christopher John Davison (born October 15, 1948), known professionally as Chris de Burgh, is an Anglo-Irish singer and instrumentalist. He started out as a rock artist but later began writing more pop material. He has had a few hits from the top 40 in the UK and two in the US, but is more popular in other countries, especially Norway and Brazil. His 1986 love song "The Lady in Red" reached number one in several countries. De Burgh has sold over 45 million albums worldwide.

In 2004, he was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In January 2018, BMI confirmed that "American Pie" and "Vincent" had five and three million views, respectively.
