Death to the Disco! – the first album by the Poznań band Lombard, released in 1983 by Polskie Nagrania.
In July 1981, the band entered the studio and recorded three songs. That same month, Lombard made their radio debut when the song "Bez Zysk, bez Strat" (Without Profits, Without Loss), sung by Wanda Kwietniewska, was broadcast on the Summer with the Radio program. However, the song didn't make it onto the first LP, only being reissued. Subsequently, Lombard's success was fueled by songs such as the title track "Śmierć dyskotece!" (Death to the Disco!), "Droga pani z TV" (Dear Lady from TV), "O jeden szkło" (O One Shiver), "Taniec pingwina na szkle" (Penguin Dance on Glass), "Diamentowa kula" (Diamond Ball), and "Przeżyj to sam" (Experience It Yourself). The latter didn't make it onto the album because, even before the premiere of Śmierć... (Death...), Polish Radio Channel III was banned from airing it. Songs such as "Dworzecpełen snów" (A Station Full of Dreams) and "Wielki Sin" (A Great Sin) also became hits, but they didn't make it onto the LP either.
Although the album is the band's first, it was released second in June 1983, a few weeks after the release of Live. The album sold 400,000 copies. At that time, a gold record was awarded for 150,000 copies sold.
