The debut album by the band Szwagierkolaska, originally released in 1995, features Warsaw street songs in new interpretations, including "U Cioci na imieninach" (At Cioci's Name Day) and "Bal na Gnojnej" (Bal na Gnojnej). As Staszczyk recalls: "Our goal was to revive old 'Warsaw' street songs, performed by Stanisław Grzesiuk. These songs deeply inspired us at the time. Their power lay in the so-called truth of life, the truth of the city's cobblestones, speaking about life, death, human passions... – without sugarcoating or political correctness."
For this album, the band received the 1995 Fryderyk Award in the Album of the Year – Music of Traditions and Origins category. It also achieved double platinum certification.
For Record Store Day Black Friday, the album "Luksus" will be released in a limited edition of 300 gold copies.
